You know your effects are off the chain when you make such a good movie, you have to prove in court you didn’t actually kill the victims. That’s exactly what happened to Ruggero Deodato with Cannibal Holocaust (1980). Thankfully, he was found not guilty of murder. source

Casino Royale was an expensive film to make with the budget at over $150 million. $900,000 that was spent on destroying cars. 3 of the highly prized Aston Martin DBS luxurious vehicles were destroyed in the making of the film. Each valued at $300,000. source
