Cineplex Locations
Cineplex Balmoral
Address: 168 Oxford Street, Bulimba
Phone: 3395 6086
Cineplex Balmoral was originally built as a single outdoor cinema during the early 2000s. Over the following years, Cineplex has transformed the venue from a single open-air screen to six state of the art movie theatres.
The original theatre has been kept in place and is now named Cinema 1. However, Cinema 2 and 4 are by far the largest screens you can watch, with the best audio experience as well.
Although, Cinema 1 remains the largest capacity theatre with seating available for 435 people. The smallest is Cinema 5, which can seat 125 people using stadium seating.
Three of the six cinemas (2, 3, and 6) all have curved screens in which the movies are viewed on.
Cineplex Redbank
Address: Redbank Plaza, Level 3, Shop 4300, 1 Collingwood Drive, Redbank
Phone: 3128 0355
Cineplex Redbank has the most amount of screens out of all of Cineplex’s locations. Eight screens are available for patrons to take a seat, relax, and watch a movie.
Cinema 5 is the smallest with 70 seats, whilst Cinema 1 has more than 4 times the capacity being able to seats 304 people.
Along with Victoria Point, Redbank is able to offer Deluxe cinema sessions for the low cost of $12.50 for everyone.
Cineplex Hawthorne
Address: 261 Hawthorne Road, Hawthorne
Phone: 3899 3450
Originally built in the 1940s, Cineplex’s location in Hawthorne stands as one of the oldest cinema auditoriums in Brisbane. Over the years as popularity has grown, two more screens have been added to the original.
Cinema 1 is quite famous in fact, as it’s the largest cinema screen (non-IMAX) in Brisbane, standing at 17.1 metres. And it can seat a whopping 480 movie-goers at one time.
Cinema 2 and 3 are quite a bit smaller, which simply makes it all the more intimate. Cinema 3 is quite cosy with a maximum capacity of 89 people.
Cineplex Hawthorne offers all patrons $14.00 movies during their Deluxe screenings.
Cineplex South Bank
Address: 167 Grey Street, South Bank
Phone: 3846 5188
Cineplex is back at it, this time coming in with their cinemas in South Bank holding the title of the largest screen in Brisbane. It’s an IMAX screen, but not officially. Cinema 5 holds the record, with the screen at a massive 25m, and being able to seat 475 people.
If you aren’t up for such a big screen, no problem. There are four other screens to choose from, all with lower capacity levels, ranging from 230 to 117.
Cineplex South Bank was forced to close early in 2003, but re-opened soon, after some complications were sorted out.
Cineplex Victoria Point
Address: 27 Bunker Road, Victoria Point

Cineplex Victoria Point is one of the company’s newest locations in Brisbane. Cineplex didn’t take the theatre over from anyone, no, it built the whole building from scratch. Meaning it features only the absolute best features to enhance your movie.
As with Hawthorne, Victoria Point offers Deluxe sessions which allow patrons to be served alcohol in exclusive lounge areas.
The best thing about the new location is that all the prices are practically the same!
