Want to find all the best deals for kids movies this summer? Theatre chains like to offer great options during the summer months when school is out. These programs are often created to provide families an affordable morning outing that is safe for everyone.

Bonus – it’s indoors and away from the sun and heat! And with most movies being $2 or less, get out and see some movies this summer!

We are always hunting for the best deals on Movie Theater Prices, and summer is a great time to find bargains, especially for kids movies. Just about every chain offers a special program featuring children’s movies with discount, or even free, tickets and concessions savings.

The Best Ticket Deal for Kids This Summer

Bow Tie Cinemas, Cobb Theatres, NCG Cinemas, Paragon Theaters, Phoenix Theaters, and Premiere Cinemas all offer free showings for their summer movie series.

The Best Concession Deal for Summer Movies

AMC’s Summer movie camp includes the movie ticket plus a KidsPack for only $4, and includes a popcorn, drink, and snack. Movies are on Wednesday mornings.

Extra Movie Ticket Deal

Marcus Theatres also has free tickets available! Thanks to the generous providers at American Family Insurance, you can print off coupons for two free tickets to any one of Marcus’ Kids Dream film showings.

AMC Theatres Summer Movie Camp

AMC Theatre locations are offering a Summer Movie Camp on Wednesday mornings throughout the summer. Start dates vary based on school sessions, but range from June 5 through August 14. For only $4 (plus tax), you get admission to a movie, and includes a Kidspack snack pack that includes a popcorn, drink, and snack.

All locations of Regal Cinemas are showing $1 kids movies on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings all summer long. This is one of the better deals since it’s the second largest theatre chain, and they are showing the widest variety of movies. Some of them are older movies, but it’s still a good opportunity to get take the kids out of the house and have some bonding time.

For 10 weeks this summer (May 27 through September 8), Cinemark Theatres will show kids movies on weekday mornings. Movies are $1 each, or you can buy a 10-movie pass for $5.

This program is a little different in that the schedule, start times, and days vary by location. Some locations are only showing them one morning each week, while others have showtimes on 2 or 3 weekday mornings.

Cineplex Family Favourites

Cineplex’s summer series is different than most because its movies are showing on Saturday mornings rather than the slower weekdays. At $2.99, tickets are a bit more than all of the other chains, but a portion of the sales go toward WE Charity – a non-profit founded to help combat poverty worldwide.

Additionally, some of the films are aimed more towards families rather than just children. And there are some pretty recent releases being shown. Running May 5 through July 20 on Saturdays at 11am, you’ll have a chance to catch a few movies you might have missed in the theater on their first run.

From June 16 through August 14, Marcus Theatres will show kids movies for $3. Showtimes are 10am on Sundays, Mondays, and Wednesdays. The theatres will also have concession specials with popcorn and drinks just $2.75 each.

Marcus has partnered with American Family Insurance to offer free tickets to one of any one of their Kids Dream movies. You can either visit a local AmFam location, or print out the coupon.

However, 100% of your purchase is donated to local nonprofits. Since 2015, Alamo has donated nearly $500,000 through this program!

If you’re a member of the Alamo Kids Club, you’ll earn stickers for attending these movies, which can earn you prizes.

The Summer Movie Fun series at Harkins includes 10 movies over 10 weeks. Movies show every weekday morning at 9:45am. Individual tickets are $2 per movie, but the better deal is buying a season pass.

The season pass ranges from $5-$7, depending on location, and can only be used at a single location. That’s a heck of a deal at only 50-70 cents per movie if you see them all! Even if you only see 4, that’s the better deal. Tickets and the season pass are only available at the box office.
