About Criterion Club

Bow Tie Cinemas Criterion Club® is the name of the theatre chain’s two different loyalty programs created to enhance the movie going experience. Criterion Club Blue offers free membership. Criterion Club Gold is paid. Each provide members with various benefits, but Criterion Club Gold is likely worth the $20 if Bow Tie is your cinema of choice.

Members can redeem points for a variety of rewards including movie tickets, concession items, and movie swag. The Gold paid tier earns points (with opportunities to earn at faster rates), and gets you at least one free movie ticket per year, plus free screenings.

Cost: Free ($0)

Points: 1 point earned for every dollar spent at the box office and concession stand

• Free Medium Soda for 100 points

Criterion Club Gold

Cost: $20 annually

Points: 1 point earned for every dollar spent at the box office and concession stand

In addition to the standard Criterion Club rewards listed above, Gold members receive:

• Free upgrades on popcorn and fountain drinks
• Free tickets to Movies & Mimosas, and Insomnia Theater Screenings
• Double Point Sundays
• Pop-up rewards and exclusive events throughout the year

Expiration

Points currently do not appear to have an expiration date as long as the membership is active. Rewards earned by a Criterion Club® Blue Member have an expiration date of 90 days from date rewarded. Rewards earned by a Criterion Club® Gold Member have no expiration date as long as they remain a Gold Member.
