About Marcus Theatres and Movie Tavern Rewards
Magical Movie Rewards is a free loyalty program for visitors of Marcus Theatres and Movie Tavern. Members earn points towards credits that can be used towards tickets and concessions. Other membership benefits include concession discounts, waived ticketing fees, and members-only movie screenings.

Points: Earn 1 point for every $1 spent
Magical Movie Rewards members receive the following benefits:
- $5 in rewards for every 100 points
- No fees for online or mobile ticketing
- Free refills on fountain drinks
- Free popcorn on $5 Tuesdays
- Members-only movie screenings
- Discounts on food & beverages every month at participating locations
You may redeem your rewards dollars in-person at the theatre, on the Marcus or Movie Tavern website, or in the mobile app.
One benefit to this rewards program is that if you don’t always want to go to a dine-in theatre like Movie Tavern, you can still accumulate rewards at a standard Marcus Theatre since Movie Tavern is owned by Marcus.
One strategy to earn some extra points is to buy a Marcus Theatres Gift Card. While you earn points when using a Marcus gift card, not when you purchase it, there is one exception. Purchasing a $100 Marcus Theatres Gift Card will earn twenty-five (25) bonus points. It’s not a lot, but if you regularly see movies at Marcus theatres, it’s a way of getting a few extra points.
Expiration
Points expire if there is no activity (points earned) in any consecutive 180 day period and Rewards will expire if there is no activity (rewards earned or used) in any consecutive 180 day period, regardless of how many points were earned towards your next reward. This is slightly lower than a lot of other rewards programs, so we consider that a negative.
