Members earn points towards rewards, a free gift for their birthday, waived online ticketing fees, special deals on Tuesdays, and much more! With so many possible ways to earn points and redeem rewards, joining is absolutely worth it!
AMC Stubs Insider is free to join, and AMC Stubs Premier is only $15 a year $7.50 for a limited time! Points are earned on ticket purchases as well as concessions. Whether it makes sense to pay for the higher tier AMC Stubs membership depends on how often you see movies.

AMC Stubs A*List®
AMC A-List Cost: Varies depending on which state you live in
- $19.95/month (All AMC theatre locations in the US except for CA, CO, CT, DE, DC, FL, GA, IL, MA, MD, MN, NJ, NY, PA, VA and WA.)
- $21.95/month (All AMC theatre locations in the US except for CA, CT, MA, NJ and NY.)
- $23.95/month (All AMC theatre locations in the US.)
Points: Members receive points for the monthly A-List membership fee. Any additionally purchased tickets earn 100 points per every dollar spent on eligible purchases at participating AMC Theatres box offices and concession stands.
Stubs A-List Members receive entrance to up to three (3) separate movie showtimes per week. Eligible movie formats for A-List benefits are standard 2D Digital films as well as films in RealD® 3D and Premium Large Formats including Dolby Cinema®, IMAX® at AMC®, PRIME at AMC®, and D-Box.
Insider, Premiere, and A-List Benefits/Rewards
AMC has the largest variety of rewards available for any theatre loyalty program.
For every 5,000 points accumulated on purchases made at participating AMC Theatres locations, and approved ticketing partners, Members are eligible for a $5 virtual reward. And you can still earn Stubs points if you buy your tickets through Fandango!
- Insider Members can use their $5 reward towards the purchase of eligible food and beverage items.
- Premiere Members can use their $5 reward towards tickets and eligible food and beverage items.
- A-List Members can use their $5 reward towards box office, tickets not included as part of the monthly membership, and eligible food and beverage items.
Rewards may not be used toward the purchase of gift cards, retail merchandise, membership fees, or alcohol.

Birthday Gift
AMC Stubs Insider Members receive a free large popcorn. AMC Stubs Premiere & AMC Stubs A-List Members receive a free large popcorn, and a free large fountain drink.
Ticketing Fee Waived
Premiere & A-List Members have all ticketing fees waived when purchased through AMC or participating partners. Insider Members have ticketing fees waived when purchasing 4 or more tickets at one time through AMC Theatres.
Refills
One same-day free refill on large popcorn (excluding gourmet). For the annual refillable popcorn bucket, AMC Stubs members must pay for the first refill, and may then refill for free a second time on the same day.
Concession Upgrades
A-List & Premiere Members receive free upgrades on fountain drinks and popcorn (regular to large). Excludes gourmet popcorn and promotional offers.
AMC Discount $5 Tuesday Movies
Discount off full-price tickets for AMC Stubs Tuesday showtimes only (certain blackout periods apply). Surcharges for premium formats, special events, and other exclusions apply.
Additional Benefits
Occasionally AMC Theatres offers further benefits and events to Members, which could include:
- Sponsor sweepstakes.
- Special AMC Stubs Members-only movie screenings at select theatres in certain markets.
- Point promotions.
- Limited time offers on movie tickets and concession stand items.
- Priority Lanes for AMC Stubs A-List & Premiere Members at participating locations.
- Premiere Seating is a select group of seats reserved exclusively for AMC Stubs Premiere & AMC Stubs A-List Members at AMC Theatres Ontario Mills 30 and Puente Hills 20.
Expiration
Points for all AMC Stubs plans expire after a period of 24 consecutive calendar months with no point earning transaction. All points earned rewards expire 270 days from date of issuance. Bonus reward expirations vary and expiration date will be posted along with offer.
More About the Program
In 2016, AMC’s Stubs Premiere program claimed 2.5 million members. Premiere was always a premium, paid program, and it wasn’t until 2016 when AMC relaunched their Stubs offering that they added the free Insider tier.
This free tier played a significant role in the meteoric growth rate enjoyed by Stubs because in the 3 years since relaunching, membership has grown to over 20 million households in 2019 – a 700% increase. By AMC’s estimates, that represents over 50% of the U.S. movie-going population.
The Stubs A-List VIP subscription tier was added in 2018, likely motivated by the popular Movie Pass service, and is nearing the 1 million-member mark.
AMC sent out more than 1.5 billion personalized emails texts and notifications to guests in 2019 alone. This is due to the marketing data they were able to gather from the habits of their Stubs members. This data helps AMC offer things that their members want as well as to their partners creating and distributing the movies so that they can ensure movies are marketed in relevant ways.
It seems likely that the program will continue to grow as long as AMC keeps offering concession discounts, birthday gifts, Tuesday savings, and, most importantly, a free tier of membership!
